This volume complements the previously published works: Annie Leibovitz: Photographs, 1970–1990 and A Photographer's Life 1990–2005. Annie Leibovitz's photographs not only portray human beings but also reflect and comment on the economic, political, and social context in which they were taken. Winner of the 2013 Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities. Some of those she photographed include: Venus and Serena Williams, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, LeBron James, Sheryl Sandberg, Anna Wintour, Leonard Cohen, Jasper Johns, Caitlyn Jenner, Gloria Steinem, Joan Didion, Barack Obama, and Queen Elizabeth II of England.
