Helmut Newton One-Off

Helmut Newton, the legendary German-Australian fashion photographer, is known for his radical images inspired by expressionist cinema, film noir, and surrealism. In 1999, together with his collaborator Gert Elfering, he compiled the unique album One-off, featuring eight exclusive Polaroids, 16 chromogenic prints, and 79 silver gelatin prints, all mounted on cardboard and annotated in pencil by Newton himself.

This book reproduces it as a faithful facsimile of the original, allowing readers to explore his creative process in a bilingual German-English edition. It includes a foreword by Philippe Garner—photography specialist and former auctioneer at Sotheby's and Christie's—and a revealing interview between Dr. Matthias Harder, director of the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin, and Gert Elfering.
