Through a Different Lens reveals Stanley Kubrick's photographs for Look magazine (1945-50), taken from the age of 17 in the Bronx, celebrating everyday New York life: laundromats, chorus girls, circuses, and Columbia Pictures. With 300 images (many previously unpublished), reproductions of original pages, and a foreword by Lucy Sante, it showcases his precocious vision that foreshadowed his cinematic genius in Dr. Strangelove and The Shining.
