In 1965-66, Steve Schapiro photographed Andy Warhol at the height of his pop cult status for Life (never published), capturing his rise with superstars like Edie Sedgwick and Nico at The Factory, openings, Camp, and retrospectives such as the one in Philadelphia. The 120+ previously unseen images—from Campbell screen prints, Brillo Boxes, and the Velvet Underground in LA—are accompanied by an interview with Schapiro and essays by Blake Gopnik, portraying the New York icon at the height of Andymania.
