I Hear Music in the Streets: New York 1969–89

Capturando a enerxía das subculturas musicais de Nova York —a través do hip-hop, punk e rap— mediante unha serie de instantáneas de fotógrafos como Peter Hujar, Susan Meiselas e moitos máis.

Con obras de Arlene Gottfried, Peter Hujar, Stephen Shames, Bruce Davidson, Susan Meiselas, Joseph Rodriguez e outros 60 fotógrafos, I Hear Music in the Streets é unha homenaxe ás escenas e subculturas musicais de Nova York desde 1969 ata 1989. O libro estrutúrase en oito capítulos temáticos, cada un explorando comunidades, movementos e espazos que moldearon a escena musical da cidade: "The Bronx Boys", "The Oddballs", "Black Power", "The Pride", "The Subways", "Our Latin Thing", "The Beach" e "Days of Disco". Guiándonos por esta viaxe urbana está o historiador musical Tim Lawrence, autor dos bestsellers Love Saves the Day (2004), Hold On to Your Dreams (2009) e Life and Death on the New York Dance Floor (2016).
